Every October, Union County crowns its own.

This pageant has been part of the Union County Fair for years, and the girls who walk this stage come back as sisters, mentors, and next year's helpers. Whether it is your daughter's first time in a gown or her fifth, there is a division for her.

Three phases, judged the same way for every girl.

Each contestant is scored in three areas. Every phase is built to show personality, presentation, and confidence in a way that fits her age.

Evening Gown

A formal gown, modeled on stage. Ages 4 and under may be escorted by a parent or chaperone, who wears all black. Ages 5 and up walk independently.

Outfit of Choice

The theme phase. Denim, lace, pearls, eyelet, boots, bows. Custom, off the rack, glitzed, or casual, as long as it reads Southern. Props are allowed if they are easy to manage.

Photogenic

One photo, judged before pageant day. Professional or a good personal photo both work. No filters or edits that change her face. Extra photos may be entered for $10 each.

Age divisions

Age is counted as of October 24, 2026. Divisions may shift depending on how many contestants enter, at the director's discretion.

Teen and Miss: there is a next step

The highest-scoring winner in the Teen and Miss divisions has the option to represent Union County at the state level, competing in the Miss Georgia/South Carolina State Fair Pageant.

What she can win

  • Miss Union County Fair Overall Queen Highest combined score across all three phases. Crown, sash, and award. We do not double crown, so once she takes Overall she comes out of the running for a division title.
  • Overall category winners One winner each for Evening Gown, Outfit of Choice, and Photogenic. Each receives an award.
  • Division Queens One Queen per age division on combined score, with a crown, sash, and award. If the Overall Queen came from that division, the next highest scorer takes the division title.
  • Division category awards Best Evening Gown, Best Outfit of Choice, and Best Photogenic in every age group. Trophy or medal.

Two things have to be in by October 4: her application and her entry fee. No late entries.

  • All entry fees are non-refundable, no exceptions

    The 2026 form takes a few minutes. One form per contestant.

    Put the contestant's name in the payment note so she gets credit.

Deadline: October 4, 2026 Applications, fees, and photogenic photos all due. No late entries will be accepted.
